TEACHING | Shepherding

The varied, rich and insightful perspectives of our community of teachers challenges, informs and inspires us as we explore the meaning and mystery of the Bible. The teaching community of churchONE provides the balance of our teaching throughout the year along with invited guest teachers, pastors, leaders and friends.

Div from Western Theological Seminary in Holland, MI and became an ordained pastor in 1987. He and his wife Ellen have been married for 42 years and have three adult children and four beautiful grandchildren!

Sarah Batley
Sarah is a passionate theological student and communicator. She graduated with a Master of Arts in Theology from the Ecumenical Institute of Theology at St. Mary’s Seminary and University. While Sarah enjoys speaking in a variety of venues, her favorite thing is to discuss matters of faith over a cup of espresso. Sarah cares deeply about delivering the truths of the privilege and responsibility that life in the Kingdom of God invites. Her ministry experience has taken her to the college campus, lecture hall and streets of Baltimore City. Her faith in God both challenges and brings joy to her days. Cycling, reading and discovering new coffee and craft beer bars are a few of her delights. Mike, Sarah’s husband, is her loudest cheerleader while her four teenage boys are the subject of much of her prayer and most of her laughter.

She has been a program host for PBS and a morning radio host for 37 years including “The Laurie DeYoung Show” for iHeart Media + Entertainment.
